The Jackal and the Hedgehog
A jackal and his friend the hedgehog saw a barn full of corn. “I shall remove my shoes. Then we can go in and eat the corn,’ said the jackal.
When they came out with stomachs full, they saw a panther.
‘That is a lovely pair of shoes you have.’ said the panther.
‘Nice, are they not? I made them myself. If you can kill an animal we can eat the meat. Then I can make a pair of shoes for you out of the hide,’ said the jackal.
